Unpunished Crimes – Sufferings of Serbs in Middle Podrinje

The documentary-feature film “Unpunished Crimes – Sufferings of Serbs in Middle Podrinje” provides an account of the crimes committed against the Serbs during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1992 and 1993, specifically in the municipalities of Bratunac, Skelani, Milici, Kelesija and Zvornik.

The heart-breaking stories of eyewitnesses describe individual killings and tortures of civilians (women, children, the elderly) and captured soldiers. Quarter of a century has elapsed, and there are still no convictions for murders of Serbs in this region. Certain court proceedings were initiated rather recently, and there are procedures that ended with a non-guilty verdict due to lack of evidence. No prison sentences were pronounced. "Unpunished Crimes - Sufferings of Serbs in Middle Podrinje" is the first documentary picture in Serbia that covers the topic of sufferings of Serbs in Middle Podrinje. Interviewees in the film are family members of the victims. All accounts of the crimes are corroborated with autopsy evidence and police reports from the wartime years.Genre: Documentary, History
